In my current body of work I conceptually and aesthetically address issues of class, socio-economic status, language, voyeurism, truth, race, and morality that manifest in the reality television show C.O.P.S. I consider these issues in relation to the possibilities and limitations inherent in understanding the imagery and content routinely viewed on this television program. I am interested in the levels of reality and truth that are actually presented in these types of television shows. I reflect on what our societal understanding of "reality" is, in the context of entertainment and video. I also investigate the correlations between popular culture, entertainment, and American society's ethical and moral interests.
