Project Ten: Complex Pastel Drawing With Color Lighting
Objective:
For the Final Drawing you will focus on creating a drawing of a still-life that demonstrates all topics and techniques discussed during this course. These include: Negative/Positive or Figure/Ground Relationships, The Sighting Technique, Spatial Analysis, Correct Proportions, Correct Perspectives, Dynamic Range of Value, Luminosity, Edge Quality, Composition, Reflected Light, Directional Light, Local Color, Texture and Environment. Each still-life will be lighted with colored lights.
Directions:
Step 1: You will have the opportunity to choose whatever medium you want to complete this drawing as long as it was a medium previously used in class. No black allowed.
Step 2: I do (strongly) suggest that you start with a light under-drawing utilizing the Sighting Technique to begin your project. This Project is worth 20% of your overall grade! Consider this carefully, I will be highly critical when analyzing your performance.
